The Return to School Centre (RTSC) provides an intervention for students currently on long suspension.
The local school makes a referral for placement, to assist the student in developing pro-social behaviours, communication and learning skills within a supportive environment.
RTSC aims to assist mainstream schools to increase their capacity to manage students with disruptive behaviours. This includes using restorative justice practices as part of the student's return to school after suspension.
RTSC can also provide support and professional development opportunities for mentoring teachers.
