Enrolment

The Cessnock Return to School Centre (RTSC) is staffed by Head Teacher Jane Fuller ® , and School Learning Support Officer Tracey Stevens.

The program supports students in Years 5 to 10.

Up to six students at any time attend the centre from 9am to 11:30am each school day, for a maximum of 20 school days.

Parents / guardians will receive daily updates regarding their child's engagement, progress and particpation in the program.

We encourage parents / guardians to pop in at the end of each day, if they wish to discuss their child's progress.

Staff from referring schools are able to visit the centre.

The head teacher is available to work with the student and student's mentor teacher at the home school to support the student's return.

How to get started:

Student and parent / guardian attend an introduction meeting
Student and parent / guardian discuss what they would like to gain from attending the centre
Student to bring equipment and suspension work pack
Casual clothes may be worn - school uniform is not required
Student is willing to engage in the program of support, behaviour change and goal setting

Referrals are made by the Principal, at the student's home school.

The application form must be completed in English. However, a translated application to enrol may help you to fill out the form in English.
